Step into my office...

Today I decided to head to that place again where I
can grab a bagel and girlie coffee. Though I just
grabbed a bagel (blueberry) with raspberry cream
cheese and a Dr Pepper (which, I believe, is more a
"Roy" drink).
Now its time to just knuckle down on a few projects for work. *rolls up sleeves*

Behind the Apple Ads
The jaw-dropping MacBook Air commercial never fails
to impress. Tonight, whilst the rest of the
commercials were boring me I decided to look up a
couple of the more recent Apple ads at the actual
videos of those catchy tunes. First up, the iPod Nano
and the incredible music video from Feist. The MV
appears to have been filmed in a single take and
showcases some really great choreography.

Patch 2.4 (Coming this Tuesday)

Warcraft
It could be as soon as March 25th but who knows? It
is coming soon though so make sure you brush up on all the major changes
as this is going to be a huge patch and, unless
WotLK is delayed, the last major update before
xPac2 (v 3.0).

Life, sometimes, just gets sweeter by the second.
This is good because I have also seen it get sour by
the second - so this is, f'sure, a tasty turn around
and about damn time too! For a little more insight
into what I'm babbling about then check out The
Project Bowl's new section,
Apple
Development,
to get an idea of what I'm talking about!
TV is wasteland
12/03/08 22:10 Filed in: Daft Blather
This has to be quote of the day:
TV is a wasteland. TV shows off of iTunes will vacuum out your brain as surely as if you had watched them on the tube. Let it go. Read a book. Go to the park. Dance with a beautiful girl, (or an ugly one, depending on personal circumstances). Your life will be much richer.

Well... good news and bad news. Some of the Project
Bowl Forums took a beating and heads will roll. We
have forums for the WoWers going live again shortly
but this will be a fresh rebuild. So you will need to
recreate your username and password and, yep, those
wonderful posts from before are (probably) lost. More
will be explained in the forums. For Portal users
everything is salvaged, fine and dandy.

PS. For those that have emailed me over the weekend - I'll be replying to y'all real soon once my hand warms up. Don't ask! :P

Get Smart

I was a huge fan of Don Adams in the spoof TV show of
Get Smart and watching the classic opening credits
made me chuckle...
So when I heard that Steve Carell was going to be playing Special Agent Maxwell Smart in the forthcoming movie remake, I was certainly nervous... until I saw the trailer. To me he was typecast into 2 spectacular roles: Brick, from Anchorman and, of course, Michael Scott from The Office. His other roles have, in my mind, just been eye-roll worthy and pretty much meh. This could utterly fail for him (remakes of this kind are rarely win-win) but the fact he actually has such a strong resemblance for Don could just work in his favor. Oh, and also because it also stars the interesting Ann Hathaway who has really begun to make her mark in Hollywood in recent years with movies such as Nicholas Nickleby, Brokeback Mountain and The Devil Wears Prada. Though I'm not a huge fan of her acting on the whole she somehow does manage to pull her roles off and make the movies she is in all the more enjoyable. I'm torn, but I will definitely go and see this movie even if it is just to inspire me to go and buy the boxset of the original series on DVD. Check out the 2008 movie trailer:

Caption This!

Whilst grabbing a snack, checking my WoW mail and
getting ready for some sleep, I couldn't help but
stumble upon the news from last week (give or take)
that Jessica Alba and hubbie, Cash, are going to have
twins. If they are girls then they are going to have
a lot to live up to... and if they are boys then they
are going to have a lot friends who will be voting
her for top MILF. Not that I know what that is or
anything... just one of those acronyms that the youth
of today kick around. Ahem.
Bygones.
Anyway, with the news of Miss Alba I couldn't help but recall this image and thought... what would make a good caption for this? Those two penguins have to have SOMETHING going through their minds!

Sitting in a Panera right now enjoying a caramel
latte and bagel with raspberry cream cheese... a good
start to the day. I just dropped the little lady off
at work and can finally find 5 minutes to catch up on
emails, messages and all that other stuff. I only
have a few moments though so it is a case of trying
to juggle everything at once.
Being back home is amazing - how did we even survive ol' Blighty? The food, the folk, the weather. Well, ok, so it is snowing here but at least it is consistent here! :P
We've been so busy since our return neither of us have been able to sit down and get any serious WoW in. In fact, our first order of business was sorting out a... well, let us call it a Guild Issue which chewed up pretty much the only wow-time we've even had... and part of that took place at nearly 4am!
But we will be back to the virtual world soon - the madness of trying to juggle everything will soon settle and routines will become set again.
Catch y'all soon!
